Dr. Sayed Hassan Akhlaq is a philosopher and leading scholar in the dialogue among civilizations. He maintains a profound commitment to intra- and interfaith dialogue, addressing environmental crises, and advocating for human rights. Born in Afghanistan and raised amidst political instability, he pursued advanced studies in classical and modern studies in Iran, earning top academic honors and a PhD in philosophy.
He has taught at institutions across Afghanistan, Iran, and the U.S., authored numerous books, and played an active role in intellectual and cross-cultural discourses. His research and pedagogical approach bridge classical intellectual traditions with contemporary critical thought, grounded in ethics, dialogue, and service to diverse communities.
